Starshot partners with Waterman League to bring World Series SUP to Toronto in 2016

Starshot is announcing today a new partnership with the Waterman League and the Stand-up World Series.

The Waterman League, headquartered at Turtle Bay on Oahu’s North Shore, owns and manages the World Championship platforms for the sport of stand-up paddle boarding. Their Mission is to represent the global world of Ocean Sports as a unified collective, and to revolutionize the connection between its cultural dynamic and a mainstream audience.

Stand-up paddle boarding is North America’s fastest growing participation sport and Starshot is proud to be partnering with Waterman to launch a World Series event in Toronto in 2016, STAND UP NORTH. Plans are also being developed to promote the event with an exhibition of the sport in 2015.

The Greater Toronto Area and surrounding communities have embraced the sport, the Stand-up World Series will showcase, world class athletes, mass participation, youth activations, festivals, customized clinics and celebrity/media special events.
