Earlier this week, Intuit Canada announced the launch of Kick-Start – a business accelerator program specifically for small business in Waterloo Region – and Starshot is thrilled to be part of this ambitious initiative.
Starshot was recently awarded an Agency of Record status supporting Intuit Canada’s business through a competitive RFP process. The agency is supporting Kick-Start from an end-to-end basis including all creative, digital marketing, demand generation and events.
Kick-Start is one of our first cross-channel initiatives with Intuit Canada and it offers growing business in Waterloo Region an opportunity to win $15,000 in cash plus a package of professional services. The launch of this program coincides with the release of a limited time offer to trial QuickBooks Online free for one year.

The Kick-Start Program runs through November and December and includes a wide variety of marketing and awareness tactics to generate interest. This includes digital marketing and advertising, a partnership with Waterloo’s Communitech, live experiential activations at select Waterloo Region businesses, social media coverage and a contest website at www.kickstartkw.ca.
Small businesses are invited to enter Kick-Start by visiting the website and telling their story. They can also further increase their chances of winning by posting pictures and videos of their business on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #kickstartkw.
Starshot is also making an investment in the Kick-Start program by including a suite of professional services as part of the grand prize package. The contest winner will be announced in early January of 2014.
