The Arkells Blow the Lights Out at Annual Microsoft Advertising Party

Microsoft Advertising hosted over 650 guests from across the advertising industry Thursday, October 24th at the legendary Toronto institution, The Opera House. Guests were invited to “expect the unexpected” at the avant-garde-themed bash.

The evening started out with a free ride on a chartered rocket to Toronto’s up and coming East end neighbourhood, where attendees were treated to wild hairstyles courtesy of Coupe Bizarre. Once inside, guests were greeted by art deco mannequin busts and projections of Toronto cityscapes lit up the walls. Guests were delighted by a scintillating burlesque show, fresh paint portraits by Scene and Heard, and a phenomenal live art piece done by A’Shop.

But that’s not all. The Arkells brought the house down with a high energy show that ended with Motown hits that had everyone pulling out their best dance moves. Social media exploded as many Arkells fans were born.

As DJ Donald spun the night away, departing guests were greeted by the Gourmet Gringos food truck churning out piping hot churros, the perfect ending to a great night.

Don’t take our word for it, check out the photos.
